The Grimsley Whirlies will head out on the road to square off against the Page Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Grimsley sitting on four straight wins and Page on six.
Grimsley stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Western Guilford 70-39 on the road. That's two games straight that Grimsley has won by exactly 31 points.
Richard Goods was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for 17 straight games. Another player making a difference was Nick Keith, who scored 15 points along with five assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Page beat Northwest Guilford 56-48 on Tuesday.
Grimsley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Page, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
Grimsley took their win against Page in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 77-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grimsley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
