Flatirons Academy is a perfect 4-0 against Otis since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Bison will take on the Bulldogs at 11:00 a.m. Flatirons Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Otis' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Flatirons Academy's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Bishop Machebeuf by a score of 4-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.

Caleb Doughty made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
Doughty wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Noah Evans, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Flatirons Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Machebeuf struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Otis unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 15-6 to Simla.
Mitchell Stivers was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 15 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Austin Hornung, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Otis' defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Flatirons Academy, their record is now 12-4.
Saturday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Flatirons Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .411. However, it's not like Otis struggles in that department as they've averaged .331. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Flatirons Academy's way against Otis in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Flatirons Academy made off with an 11-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
