Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Manley Wildcats walked away with it. They blew past the Lions 76-51. Manley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jakari Dismukes, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Davion Worthy, who scored ten points.
The victory was the third in a row for Manley, bringing their record for this year to 17-9. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.7 points. As for Urban Prep-Bronzeville, their loss dropped their record down to 15-4.
Manley will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Austin College and Career Academy is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Urban Prep-Bronzeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
