The Woodstock Wasps waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They strolled past Twin Valley with points to spare, taking the game 61-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Woodstock also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2015.
Despite the loss, Twin Valley still got an impressive performance from Noah Dornburgh, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Brown, who scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Woodstock's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Twin Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodstock's road trip will continue as they head out to face Windsor at 2:30 p.m. on January 20th. As for Twin Valley, they will challenge Long Trail at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Vermont (Long Trail is ranked 48th, while Twin Valley is ranked 32nd).
