Football Recap: Dougherty Starts Season with Win Against Central

Dougherty had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed past the Central Chargers to the tune of 51-14 on Thursday. The Trojans not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 16, 2024 (when they won 44-0).

Although Central took the loss, they still got scores from Dontavius Wright and WyQuayvis Gaither.

Dougherty wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-6 defeat against Toombs County on the 22nd. As for Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-0 loss against Academy for Classical Education on the 21st.
