On Friday Coalgate take on Kingston at 7:30 PM. Coalgate are coming into the contest hot, having won five in a row.
Everything went Coalgate's way against Comanche last Friday as they made off with a 36-6 win. Senior Blade Horton was the offensive standout of the match for Coalgate, as he rushed for 277 yards and 5 touchdowns. Horton has been a consistent playmaker for Coalgate as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Kingston put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They took the match and then some with a 44-8 victory over Tishomingo. The Kingston offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the matchup anyway.
Their wins bumped Kingston to 4-1 and Coalgate to 5-0. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we'll see if they're able to heat things up even more while facing each other.
