The Booker T. Washington Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Fort Walton Beach by a score of 85-73. The win was just what Booker T. Washington needed coming off of a 66-28 defeat in their prior contest.
Alex Jasquith was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gally Rich, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds.
Fort Walton Beach's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was KJ Robertson , who scored 22 points. Dylan Ivison was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Booker T. Washington pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points per game. As for Fort Walton Beach, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Booker T. Washington and Mary G. Montgomery will round out the year against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at. Fort Walton Beach and Clay County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Clay County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fort Walton Beach in their respective states (Clay County is ranked 73rd in Kentucky, while Fort Walton Beach is ranked 421st in Florida).
