McHenry and Jacobs are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. McHenry is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

McHenry took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Crystal Lake South 7-1. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Natalie Bender spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Danica McCarthy was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most stolen bases she has posted over her last 14 matchups. Rylinn Gottstein was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Jacobs came up short against Crystal Lake Central on Monday and fell 6-1. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Jacobs also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Skylee Ferrante gave up just two earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks. Ferrante has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jacobs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Talia Disilvio, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

McHenry's victory bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Jacobs, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-15.
