The Covenant Christian Academy Golden Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 68-49 to Christ Chapel Academy.
Covenant Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Gabriel Marvin and Brandon Alibaruho. Marvin scored 14 points, while Alibaruho scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Wilson, who scored seven points.
Covenant Christian Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Christ Chapel Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.
Covenant Christian Academy will face off against Evergreen Christian at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Evergreen Christian is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. Christ Chapel Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wakefield School at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. Wakefield School will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
