The Moffat County Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past Basalt 65-20 on the road. That looming 65-20 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Moffat County yet this season.
Teya Miller was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 17 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlyn Adams, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Moffat County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Basalt, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moffat County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hayden at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. Hayden will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 291st, while Moffat County is ranked 132nd). As for Basalt, Basalt and Steamboat Springs will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Steamboat Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Saturday.
