The Fayetteville-Perry Rockets waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Felicity-Franklin with points to spare, taking the game 78-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Felicity-Franklin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caleb Ninichuck, who scored 14 points along with three blocks. Ninichuck continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Hayden Broadwell was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Fayetteville-Perry has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. As for Felicity-Franklin, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fayetteville-Perry will challenge East Clinton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fayetteville-Perry is facing East Clinton at the right time seeing as East Clinton is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Felicity-Franklin, they will head out on the road to challenge Lynchburg-Clay at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Felicity-Franklin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
