The Braden River Pirates and the Boca Ciega Pirates squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly the Braden River Pirates had to settle for second. They received a tough blow as they fell 64-47 to the Pirates.
Braden River's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily Dalton, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Jada Banks, who scored eight points.
Braden River's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Boca Ciega, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12.
Braden River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Boca Ciega will take on the Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Parrish Community presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Pirates in Florida (the Bulls are ranked 98th, while the Pirates are ranked 352nd).
