The biggest upset of the week belonged to Meeker, who took down 113th ranked Haskell, 56-34. Jake Standlee threw for 182 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 116 yards in the win.
The Bulldogs moved up to 124 from 163 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A District 5. A 56-34 win over the Haymakers helped Meeker improve its standing.
Cameron Smith was the best wideout in the league this week as Mike Hedge's team topped Haskell. Smith racked up three receptions for 64 yards. Dallas Jackson helped Meeker's passing attack out by catching three balls for 63 yards.
Alex Wheeland provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Haymakers fell to the Bulldogs. He completed 14 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 187 yards. Wheeland's favorite target this week was Colby Graves, who caught five passes for 46 yards.
Dakota Fish was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 226 yards on 33 carries as Holdenville beat Haskell. Teammate D'Angelo Moore added to the ground attack by rushing for 76 yards.
The Bulldogs' Standlee and Nick Cagle have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 2A District 5 in both passing and receiving yards. Standlee has thrown for 449 yards this season, while Cagle, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has five catches for 161 yards. The Haymakers' Wheeland leads the league in rushing yards with 585.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Okemah takes on Meeker. As it stands, the Panthers are in second, while the Bulldogs are in fourth.
