Meanwhile, Uniontown pushed their score all the way to 65 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Belle Vernon 69-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (55), Uniontown still had to take the loss.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jeremiah Hager, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Grooms, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Elizabeth Forward's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Uniontown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-3 record this season.
Elizabeth Forward came up short against the Red Raiders when the teams last played back in January, falling 78-65. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Uniontown's Jamire Braxton, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten rebounds.
