Tanner Torosian and Dakota Hendrickson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Douglas County West. The longest such play in C1 District 1 this season, the connection resulted in 68 yards.
Fort Calhoun extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Boys Town, 34-18. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Pioneers.
Concordia's dynamic duo of Torosian and Hendrickson proved tough for the Falcon to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Torosian threw for 237 yards and two touchdowns and Hendrickson had 68 yards receiving. Logan Deckard helped Concordia's passing attack out by catching four balls for 61 yards.
Jordan Kann provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Fort Calhoun bested the Cowboys. He completed seven passes for 63 yards and also ran for 241 yards. Kann's favorite target this week was Jaden Boudle, who caught three passes for 45 yards.
Boudle made the biggest impact on defense this week as Michael Huffman's team defeated Boys Town. The senior grabbed three interceptions.
Fort Calhoun's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Pioneers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kann has thrown for 796 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Boudle has 28 catches for 506 yards. Kann also leads the league in rushing with 825 yards.
A big matchup in C1 District 1 this week will be when Kevin Kush's team takes on Arlington. The Cowboys are in second place, while the Eagles are in third place.
There should be lots of points scored when Douglas County West and the Pioneers face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Brant Loewe's team comes in having scored 61 this season, while Fort Calhoun has scored 211. The Falcon scored 21 points last week as they bested the Mustangs.
Arlington took down Raymond Central 43-22 last week, the largest margin of any game.
