The Cupertino Pioneers waltzed into their game on Tuesday with ten straight wins but they left with 11. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 33-31 win over Fremont. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cupertino also won the last time the pair played on January 9th.
Cupertino's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Max Feldan, who scored nine points along with two blocks. Justin Yu was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Cupertino's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-1. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5.
Cupertino will be playing at home against the Matadors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monta Vista will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 619th, while the Pioneers are ranked 145th). As for Fremont, they will head out on the road to take on the Vikings at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
