Basketball Recap: Calloway County Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Calloway County strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Lyon County Lyons with a sharp 78-58 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Lakers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Calloway County had a senior duo take command as Sayler Lowe dropped a double-double with 26 points and 15 rebounds and Jaidan Koch shot 69% from the field to rack up 26 points along with eight boards and five assists. The game was Koch's third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Perkins, who posted eight points.

Calloway County's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lyon County, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Calloway County will head out to face off against Graves County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lyon County, they will venture away from home to take on Livingston Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Lyons their first taste of in-conference action this season.
