After a string of six wins, the Rockwell Marshals's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Milford by a score of 41-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Rockwell has suffered yet this season.
Milford got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Paizlee Florence out in front who scored 12 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Florence has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tayleah Spaulding, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Rockwell's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Milford, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Rockwell and Merit Preparatory Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Milford will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Piute at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
