Glenbard East had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Schaumburg Saxons on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Belle McDermott paced Glenbard East's offense, picking up nine kills. McDermott got some help from Taylor Griffith and her eight assists. Abby Michelon controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Glenbard East's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Schaumburg, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coincidentally, Glenbard East and Schaumburg will both be playing Fremd the next time they take the court. The Saxons will head out to face the Vikings at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 6:45 p.m.
