This season hasn't been kind to The Boyd Yellowjackets, who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They took a 30-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ponder. Boyd was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ponder apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Tyson Price continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ponder, rushing for 101 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 211 yards and a touchdown.
Boyd's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. As for Ponder, the victory was the third in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.
Boyd will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pilot Point at 7:30 p.m. Pilot Point comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Ponder, they will head out on the road to face off against Peaster at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Peaster is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
