The Deerfield-Windsor Knights''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 20-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southland Academy. Deerfield-Windsor was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Southland Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Deerfield-Windsor saw an underclassman step up: Lane Sceals threw for 181 yards and two touchdowns.
Deerfield-Windsor's defeat was their fifth straight at home , which bumped their record down to 1-9. As for Southland Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.
Deerfield-Windsor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Southland Academy will square off against Lakeview Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
