Owensboro Catholic entered their tilt with Mercy with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Owensboro Catholic really took it to Mercy for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-37 win on the road. Given Owensboro Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Mercy is ranked 94th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Owensboro Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Karmin Riley, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Riley has scored all season. Jenna Krampe was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Owensboro Catholic didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Bethlehem when the teams last played back in December of 2021, but they still walked away with a 65-61 victory.
