Excel Christian will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Wells at 2:00 PM. The teams have set a high bar for this contest after stand-out offensive performances in their previous contests.
Excel Christian were fully in charge last Saturday, breezing past Owyhee 69-22. No one put up better numbers for Excel Christian than senior Jeshua Fixel, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 243 yards and 5 touchdowns. In fact, with 20 tackles Fixel was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, don't be fooled by the insanely high score: we promise Wells and Tonopah were playing football. Wells took a hard 52-70 fall against Tonopah. Wells were down by 36-56 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Excel Christian's victory lifted them to 2-1 while Wells's loss dropped them down to 1-1. The Excel Christian defense got after the quarterback against Owyhee to the tune of 6 sacks, so Wells's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the game.
