Basketball Game Preview: Linville Hill Warriors vs. Coventry Christian

Linville Hill is 5-0 against Coventry Christian since December of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Linville Hill Warriors are taking a road trip to take on Coventry Christian at 7:30 p.m. Linville Hill is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Linville Hill is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Conestoga Christian: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Linville Hill blew Conestoga Christian out of the water with an 80-42 final score. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 26 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Giovanni Sejuste, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Smucker, who went 6 for 7 en route to 14 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Coventry Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They took down High Point Baptist Academy 69-50 on Tuesday. Coventry Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Linville Hill's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Coventry Christian, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Everything went Linville Hill's way against Coventry Christian in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as Linville Hill made off with a 61-41 win. Will Linville Hill repeat their success, or does Coventry Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
