It was fun while it lasted, but Eureka's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Friday. They took a blow against the Olpe Eagles, falling 62-23. The loss was the Tornadoes' first of the season.

Eureka lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cole Ptacek, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Coon, who scored five points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Eureka fell to 3-1. As for Olpe, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Eureka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-16 defeat against Humboldt on the 16th. As for Olpe, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-27 victory against Waverly on the 17th.
