Fox Tech and the Minutemen are an even 4-4 against one another since November of 2014, but not for long. The Fox Tech Buffaloes will be playing at home against the San Antonio Memorial Minutemen at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Fox Tech and 40 for the Minutemen dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Fox Tech, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-38 loss to the Rockets. Fox Tech was down 46-26 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Anthony Reyes, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Jonah De la rosa was another key contributor, scoring five points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, San Antonio Memorial took a serious blow against the Apaches on Friday, falling 72-38. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for San Antonio Memorial in their matchups with the Apaches: they've now lost four in a row.
Fox Tech has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-20 record this season. As for San Antonio Memorial, they dropped their record down to 0-22 with that loss, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
Fox Tech took their victory against the Minutemen when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 68-42. Does Fox Tech have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Minutemen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
