Oxford and Calhoun City are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2017, but not for long. The Oxford Chargers will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Calhoun City Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
Last Saturday, Oxford had to suffer through a rough 77-33 loss at the hands of Creekside. Oxford was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-13.
Meanwhile, Calhoun City put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 50-19 win over Vardaman. Considering Calhoun City has won seven contests by more than 22 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Calhoun City, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything went Oxford's way against Calhoun City in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as Oxford made off with a 65-44 win. Does Oxford have another victory up their sleeve, or will Calhoun City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
