Even though East New York Family Academy scored an imposing 59 points on Wednesday, the South Shore Vikings still came out on top. South Shore took down East New York Family Academy 73-59. That result was just more of the same for these two, as South Shore also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Despite the loss, East New York Family Academy still got an impressive performance from Arianna Mercado, who scored 23 points along with 3 steals. Erin Punter was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 9 rebounds.
South Shore's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for East New York Family Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Shore will take on Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. East New York Family Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bishop Loughlin at 4:30 p.m. on December 21st.
