The BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They lost to Glenview College Prep at home by a decisive 59-40 margin. BASIS - Scottsdale was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Glenview College Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, BASIS - Scottsdale still got an impressive performance from Blake Tropper, who scored 20 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tropper has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nithish Prakash, who scored nine points along with five steals.
BASIS - Scottsdale bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Glenview College Prep, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. BASIS - Scottsdale won't have much time to rest: their next game is against AZ Compass Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. AZ Compass Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than BASIS - Scottsdale in Arizona (AZ Compass Prep is ranked 60th, while BASIS - Scottsdale is ranked 208th). As for Glenview College Prep, they will be playing at home against Heritage Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
