Timber Lake is 10-0 against Bison since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Timber Lake Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Bison Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Timber Lake is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Timber Lake put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They breezed by Tiospaye Topa at home to the tune of 83-26. Timber Lake's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, Bison strolled past McIntosh with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 58-43. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bison.
Bison's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rylee Veal, who scored 23 points along with three steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Veal has scored at least a third of Bison's points. Kyle Stadler was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.
The victory got Timber Lake back to even at 4-4. As for Bison, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.
Everything came up roses for Timber Lake against Bison when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 63-35 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Timber Lake since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
