The Front Range Baptist Falcons will head out to square off against the Mile High Academy Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Front Range Baptist will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Denver Waldorf, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Falcons came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 3-1 on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Front Range Baptist was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 25-14.
Meanwhile, Mile High Academy had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four last Monday. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 win.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mile High Academy took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-10, 25-7.
Front Range Baptist better keep an eye on Alaina Hickman. She was instrumental in Mile High Academy's win, getting 11 assists and seven aces. That's the most aces Hickman has posted since back in October of 2024.
Mile High Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 28 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matches.
Front Range Baptist's record is now 5-6. As for Mile High Academy, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
