Brookfield Academy narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Lake Country Lutheran 55-53. The win was familiar territory for Brookfield Academy who now have three in a row.
Luci Jensen was her usual excellent self, scoring 32 points. The game was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Amelia Rigel, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Catholic Central at home against St. Francis on Thursday as the team secured a 74-30 victory.
Brookfield Academy has yet to lose a match on the road this season, leaving them with a 4-1 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Catholic Central, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.
