Bethel is 0-3 against Sumner since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bethel Bison will head out on the road to face off against the Sumner Spartans at 7:00 p.m.
Last Friday, Bethel ended up a good deal behind Bellarmine Prep and lost 60-44. Bethel has not had much luck with Bellarmine Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Timari Fruster, who scored 9 points. Another player making a difference was Aanjili Sanehi, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Sumner had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They managed a 47-43 win over Eastlake on Tuesday.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 1-1 season records intact.
Bethel lost to Sumner on the road by a decisive 62-43 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Bethel avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
