Red Rock Central lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They were dealt a 77-39 defeat at the hands of Russell-Tyler-Ruthton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Red Rock Central has scored all season.
Red Rock Central's loss came about despite a quality game from Corey Arkell, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Henry Stavnes was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Southwest Minnesota Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Edgerton at home to the tune of 93-53.
Red Rock Central has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Southwest Minnesota Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
Red Rock Central ended up a good deal behind the Eagles in their previous matchup back in January, losing 55-41. Can Red Rock Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
