East lost to Granger back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Leopards blew past the Lancers 18-8. The Leopards might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

Jack Wilson and Taya Taylor did most of the damage at the plate: Wilson went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Taylor went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those five hits gave Wilson a new career-high. Tara Villata was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

East was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .561. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in five consecutive contests.

East has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for Granger, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-18.

East didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-1 win against Highland on the 5th. As for Granger, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-0 loss against Spanish Fork on the 10th.
