Basketball Recap: Blanket Extends Winning Streak to Four

Blanket waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Rising Star Wildcats 57-32. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 23 points or more this season.

Blanket got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mason Beck out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. Beck is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kannon Kensing, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Blanket was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Blanket is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Rising Star, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Gustine the next time they take the court. Blanket will head out to face Gustine at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Rising Star will host them at 8:00 p.m. on January 10th.
