Onalaska was the  3-0 winner over La Crosse Central when they last played one another  back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hilltoppers took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverhawks on Tuesday. The Hilltoppers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 While Onalaska had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 17-25, 25-21,  25-21.
 Makena Mcgarry paced Onalaska's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mcgarry got some help from  Mckenzie Bauer and her 32 assists.
  Celia Christopherson went supernova For La Crosse Central.,  getting 28  digs and two  aces. With that strong performance,  Christopherson is now averaging an impressive 10.1  digs per game.  Gabriella Zeeb was another key player,  getting 13  digs and four  aces.
Onalaska's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for La Crosse Central, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record  this season.
