Boston University Academy had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Monday. They put the hurt on Marie Philip with a sharp 42-20 win. Boston University Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Solina Rampino and Allyssa Rivera-Moore certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Rampino scored nine points along with nine rebounds and four steals, while Rivera-Moore scored five points along with five steals.
Boston University Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. As for Marie Philip, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boston University Academy will face off against Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marie Philip, they will head out on the road to take on American School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully American School for the Deaf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 last Thursday.
