The J.H. Rose Rampants will face off against the Hunt Warriors on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as J.H. Rose comes in on eight and Hunt on four.
J.H. Rose is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Williams a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Rampants have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Josh Roberson made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
In other pitching news, Owen Hardee looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Parker Watson, who fired off two home runs and eight RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Simmons, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Hunt narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Cedar Ridge 2-0.
Stone Massey looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Hunt let Will Doll and Angel Saldona run wild. Doll went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI, while Saldona went 2-for-3 with two runs.
J.H. Rose pushed their record up to 22-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Hunt, their win bumped their record up to 17-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. J.H. Rose has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hunt struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
J.H. Rose took their victory against Hunt when the teams last played back in March of 2018 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Do the Rampants have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
