On Thursday Wright City take on Clopton/Elsberry at Game #5 at 6:00 PM. Wright City are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the match prepared for a fight.

Wright City found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 22-52 punch to the gut against North Callaway last week. Wright City got a solid performance out of senior Jayden Mahaney, who rushed for 182 yards and 3 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.

Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Clopton/Elsberry, but their most recent game may have softened the blow. They walked away with a 50-42 victory over Van-Far/Community.

Clopton/Elsberry's win lifted them to 3-2 while Wright City's defeat dropped them down to 2-3. We'll see if Clopton/Elsberry's success rolls on or if Wright City are able to steal their positive momentum.
