If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for George Washington. On Friday they will take on Bassett at 7:00 PM. George Washington have seen their point totals decreasing over the past four games, a vulnerability Bassett are surely hoping to exploit.
After flying high against Magna Vista last Wednesday, George Washington came back down to earth. George Washington fell just short of Franklin County by a score of 14-16. George Washington's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
As for Bassett, they had a rough outing against Tunstall two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Bassett managed a somewhat close 21-15 win over Martinsville.
George Washington simply couldn't be stopped the last time the two teams met, as they easily beat Bassett 70-7. Will George Washington repeat their success, or does Bassett have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
