The biggest upset of the week belonged to Severna Park, who took down 69th ranked Severna Park, 19-15. Brandon Blanchard threw for 75 yards and one touchdown and ran for 28 yards in the win.
Arundel extended the longest winning streak in Anne Arundel County this week by beating Broadneck, 47-17. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Wildcats.
Corey Contee and Dejuan Neal gave Southern a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Contee threw for 126 yards and two touchdowns, while Neal ran for 77 yards. Teammate Deandre Gross added to the ground attack by rushing for 54 yards.
Aaron Terry was the best wideout in the league this week as Chesapeake beat the Falcons. Terry racked up three receptions for 35 yards. Austin Karls helped Chesapeake's passing attack out by catching two balls for 33 yards.
Ryan Lester made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Bulldogs bested North County. The defensive end recorded one fumble and grabbed one sack.
The Cougars' Blanchard and Terry have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Blanchard has thrown for 731 yards this season, while Terry, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 26 catches for 347 yards. Southern's Neal leads the league in rushing yards with 813.
A big matchup in Anne Arundel County this week will be when Severna Park takes on Arundel. At the moment, Mike Price's team is in eighth, while Chuck Markiewicz's team is in first.
Chesapeake and the Falcons played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Chesapeake eventually emerging with a 19-15 victory. Blanchard in the win.
