After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dunbar, the DuSable Panthers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 50-30 margin over Urban Prep-Englewood. For DuSable, this counts as revenge for the 59-38 loss Urban Prep-Englewood walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2019.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DuSable to victory, but perhaps none more so than Patrick Malone, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Melvin Levy, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
DuSable's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Urban Prep-Englewood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
DuSable will be playing in front of their home fans against ACERO Garcia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. ACERO Garcia is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Urban Prep-Englewood, they will head out on the road to face off against Tilden at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
