Jake Browning continues to move up the all-time national touchdown list, tying for third place this week. Meanwhile a pair of Indiana running backs are battling Missouri's Kellen Overstreet for the national rushing and scoring lead.

Jake Browning, Folsom (Calif.)Browning completed 29 of 40 passes for 377 yards and four touchdowns in a 56-21 win over previously undefeated Rocklin last week. The four touchdowns give him 47 for the season and 185 for his career, tying him for third place on the all-time touchdown pass list with Chris Leak of Independence (Charlotte, N.C.). Browning also doubled his interception total for the season by throwing two against Rocklin. Although he has four interceptions for the season, that total is far below the totals he has had the past two seasons when he threw 17 and 16. If the Bulldogs manage to play 15 games, Browning is on pace to throw 88 touchdown passes in a season. He needs 34 more to tie Maty Mauk of Kenton (Ohio) for the all-time lead with 219.
Markell Jones, Columbus East (Ind.)Columbus East opened the playoffs with a convincing 82-13 win over South Dearborn. Jones carried just 11 times for 238 yards and scored five touchdowns. He has 2,566 yards on 178 carries and 46 touchdowns on the season. His 276 points on the season rank 16th in state history. His 6,829 career rushing yards rank 10th all-time.
Kiante Enis, Winchester (Ind.)Enis ranks second in the nation in rushing after gaining 270 yards on 26 carries in a 48-34 playoff win over Knightstown. He also has five rushing touchdowns in the win, giving him 44 for the season. Overall, Enis has 46 touchdowns, tying him with Markell Jones on the all-time Indiana single season scoring list.
Kellen Overstreet, Penney (Hamilton, Mo.)Penney opened postseason play with a 68-16 win over Princeton (Mo.) and Overstreet contributed 372 yards rushing on just 11 carries with six rushing touchdowns. For his career, Overstreet ranks first all-time in state history in overall touchdowns (146), second in career points (888), third in rushing touchdowns (114) and third in career rushing (8,177 yards). With 39 yards this week, Overstreet can become just the second player in state history to rush for over 3,000 yards in a season twice.
Jacques Patrick, Timber Creek (Orlando, Fla.)Patrick posted his third 300-yard game of the season in a 28-14 win over Hagerty as he carried 35 times for 301 yards and four touchdowns. He has rushed 210 times for 1,918 yards and 27 touchdowns. He is second in the state of Florida this season in rushing and scoring.
Tucker Israel, Lake Nona (Orlando, Fla.)Israel became the first player in national history to throw for over 600 yards in a back-to-back games when he completed 30 of 38 passes for 630 yards and nine touchdowns in a 73-22 win over Celebration (Fla.). Two weeks ago, Israel threw for 659 yards in a win over St. Cloud.
Austin Kafentzis, Jordan (Sandy, Utah)Jordan opens postseason play against Davis on Friday. His current career numbers find him with 12,506 yards passing, and 6,720 yards rushing. He also has 101 rushing touchdowns and 110 passing touchdowns. Kafentzis is the only player in national history to rush for 100 touchdowns and pass for 100 touchdowns in a career.
Sotonye Jamabo, Plano West (Texas)Jamabo and his Plano West teammates will face a formidable foe in Allen this week. Last week in a 50-7 win over Hebron, Jamabo ran 11 times for 153 yards and four touchdowns. For the season, Jamabo has 1,711 yards rushing on 152 attempts with 35 total touchdowns.
Brett Rypien, Shadle Park (Spokane, Wash.)Rypien had his usual 300-yard effort in leading Shadle Park to a 56-6 win over North Central last week. He completed 25 of 33 passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions. For the season, Rypien has completed 221 passes on 345 attempts for 2,960 yards and 36 touchdowns. For his career, Rypien has 836 completions in 1,332 attempts for 11,007 yards and 122 touchdowns.
Kyler Murray, Allen (Texas)Murray did most of his work through the air last week in a 63-17 win over Flower Mound. Murray carried just five times for 11 yards and a touchdown, but he completed 17 of 27 passes for 310 yards and four touchdowns. For the season, Murray is 130 of 199 for 2,221 yards and 24 touchdowns. He has rushed 54 times for 640 yards and 15 touchdowns.
