Baseball Recap: Marian Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Marian Central Catholic managed to slip by Grayslake Central the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hurricanes came up short against the Rams on Tuesday, falling 8-2. The Hurricanes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Marian Central Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Neuzil, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Marian Central Catholic and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for Grayslake Central, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marian Central Catholic will head out to take on McHenry at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Hurricanes' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Grayslake Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Prairie Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
