The Cambridge School waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Ocean View Christian 43-27.
Meanwhile, Warner waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 56-39 win over Calexico Mission.
Warner can attribute much of their success to Omar Acosta, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds, and Angel Carachure, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Carachure hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Malachi Lozano, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
The Cambridge School's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Warner, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.
Everything came up roses for The Cambridge School against Warner when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 50-20 win. Does The Cambridge School have another victory up their sleeve, or will Warner turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
