Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Ponderosa came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Chaparral, but Logan Thomsen wouldn't allow it. Chaparral came out on top against Ponderosa by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Thomsen, who had 23 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (two).

Chaparral had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-17, 25-21, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Ponderosa still got an impressive performance from Madden Vondal, who had ten digs and three aces.

Chaparral is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Ponderosa and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chaparral will host Bear Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chaparral is facing Bear Creek at the right time seeing as Bear Creek is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ponderosa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Regis Jesuit at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
