Deer Trail's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mursal Hussein, who scored eight points. Dylan Bertram was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Deer Trail's victory ended a 12-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-10. As for Bethune, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Deer Trail will take on Weldon Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Weldon Valley is ranked 332nd, while Deer Trail is ranked 337th). As for Bethune, they will head out on the road to square off against Genoa-Hugo/Karval at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
