Pilot Point had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Bonham Warriors 56-3. This was payback for the Bearcats, who suffered a 7-6 loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pilot Point to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caden David, who rushed for 186 yards and one score on only six carries. Pilot Point didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hunter Newman and Ashton Williamson. Newman got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Pilot Point didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 35-7 victory against Callisburg on the 5th. Bonham has also already played their next contest (against Howe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
