After six games on the road, St. Francis is heading back home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Valor Christian Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Francis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
St. Francis is ranked highly in their home state, and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Sacred Heart. St. Francis walked away with a 69-60 victory over Sacred Heart. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Francis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Camryn Golston, who scored 27 points. Golston continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Sa'Mya Wyatt was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 67 points the game before, Valor Christian were a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They were outmatched by Winston-Salem Christian National on the road and fell 68-25. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Valor Christian has scored all season.
St. Francis' win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Valor Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
